How does the free trial work?
Start a 7-day free trial with full member access to all thirty daily picks and the archive. You won't be charged during the trial, and you can cancel any time before it ends to avoid a charge.
What if I don't like it?
Cancel before your trial ends and you pay nothing. If you're charged for your first paid period and change your mind, we offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on that first charge — just email [email protected].
Will I be charged automatically?
Yes — after the 7-day trial your membership renews automatically at the plan price you chose, until you cancel. We always show the exact renewal amount and cycle before you start.
Is my payment information secure?
Payments are handled over an encrypted SSL connection through our payment provider once checkout is connected, and we never store full card numbers on our own servers.
What devices can I watch on?
Lumio runs in any modern web browser on desktop, tablet, and phone. We don't currently offer a native mobile or smart-TV app, and we won't claim one until it actually ships.
Can I download videos to watch offline?
Not at the moment. Lumio is web-based streaming only; we don't offer offline downloads and won't advertise the feature until it's genuinely built.
Can I share my account?
A membership is intended for personal use by one member. We don't offer family or shared plans yet, and account sharing isn't supported under the terms.
How do you choose the daily pick?
A small human editorial team in Nicosia, led by founder Lucía Marín, screens submissions and ranks thirty shorts each day, then selects one number-one pick. No algorithm decides the order — people do.
When does the ranking refresh?
Every day at 00:00 in your own device's local timezone. The on-page countdown shows exactly how long until the next pick goes live.
Does the same short stay number one forever?
No. The ranking resets every midnight, so today's number-one pick rotates out and a new short rises to the top tomorrow. Past picks live on in the members' archive.
Can I submit my own film?
Yes — we welcome culture-and-lifestyle shorts from independent creators. Email [email protected] with a link and a short note about the piece.
